This sketch is of Creed from The Office (U.S.).  He is actually played by the actor and singer of the same name, who was a musician in the 1960’s band Grass Roots. In the show, he plays a malevolent old man who has allegedly gone bankrupt, murdered someone, and stolen a number of objects from the place where he works. He has forgotten what his job is, and when asked he recalls that he should have written it down. This job is revealed to be quality assurance, but he isn’t any good at it due to having forgotten about his responsibilities entirely. Additionally, his job at Dunder Mifflin is the only thing preventing him from being homeless. Unless requested, this’ll be my only Office doodle.

That last pic you posted struck me as looking a lot like something Bana ((banandersnatch on tumblr)) might draw — is your cartoon style influenced by her at all?
Anonymous asked

Yeah, the drawing is vaguely similar to her style. But I don’t mean to steal, it’s just more of my messing with styles. Anyway, my own cartoon style is a little bit different than hers.

I’ve been juggling concepts, but this is mainly to mess with the different kinds of horns and hair that I can make. Trazka Mathen is the Jade-blood, and she does… something. I haven’t really elaborated on the concepts yet. I know that her lusus is a giant grasshopper. Vathys Psarat is a Violet-blood, and his lusus is an angler fish. Somebody break my hands.

I don’t care if Ryan murdered his entire family, he is like a son to me.

dino-files:

Name: Balaur
Pronounced: Ba-Law
Classification: Theropod
Temporal Range: Late Cretaceous (70 Mya)
Length: 2 metres
Height: 0.8 metres
Weight: unknown
Movement: Bipedal
Feeding Type: Carnivore

Information:
Balaur is an extremely interesting dromaeosaurid dinosaur; it lived in what is now modern Romania during the latter part of the Cretaceous period. Despite being found in mainland Romania; 70 million years ago, world sea levels were higher and the location the fossils were discovered suggests that Balaur would of in fact lived on an off-shore island, named Hateg Island. Hateg Island was part of the European island system that existed during in the Late Cretaceous period, and it is theorised that it was home to a number of indigenous dinosaurs, including Balaur. Described in 2010, it was named after the balaur, a dragon of Romanian folklore and it is known from a single partial skeleton.
Most dromaeosaurids had one, large, retractable sickle-shaped claw on each foot which was used to pin down prey animals; however Balaur had two of these claws on either foot. As well as its strange feet, Balaur had proportionally shorter and heavier limbs than most of its other relatives, along with large muscle attachments around the pelvis which indicated the animal’s legs were adapted for strength, rather than speed. During the Late Cretaceous period much of Europe was fragmented into islands, and a number of the Balaur’s bizarre features are thought to be a result of the relatively isolated conditions imposed on many of the populations in this area. Cretaceous Romania has become famous for its dwarf sauropods (smaller versions of large mainland creatures); and it is predicted that these dinosaurs would have been hunted by Balaur. Despite this very little is known about the behaviour of
Balaur, however it is predicted that it may have been one of the apex predators in its limited island ecosystem, because no larger theropod teeth have ever been discovered in Romania.

Fantrolls blah blah blah. A very unrealistic Senkai to contrast with my realistic bug-eyed monster one from way back when.

Species in question: Mareserpens Nanos
This is the smallest species of the genus, at only five feet long. They swim in the shallows, looking to pick off small fish and larger fish that stray into their territory. They favor depths of up to forty feet, but they breed near beaches during mating season. Occasionally, specimens further out are found, but this is usually an anomaly due to them being ousted from the social order. A strange thing, their social order is more abstract than anything. Individuals roam around alone, but occasionally form small groups. They do not fight, with the exception of males fighting over females, and they seem to have a general understanding of boundaries. It’s a quirky species, and an abundant one compared to the three other species.
Progress: Four out of twelve species! Genus number one finished.

cryptovolans:

so I did my scientific illustration final on whale evolution. This painting’s 3 feet long!
I did my best to illustrate every species as accurately as possible to the best of my ability. The sizes are vaguely correct but if they were actually to scale, the smaller species would be even smaller and the larger species would be even larger (basilosaurus is slightly bigger than a blue whale… and pakicetus is the size of a medium sized dog)
YEAH evolution!

That is really cool.
